Physical Education
At Coddington, our Physical Education curriculum aims to provide an inclusive, engaging, and high-quality experience for all pupils. We are committed to fostering a love for physical activity by offering opportunities for children to enjoy, succeed, and excel in a wide range of sports and physical activities. Our goal is to help every pupil develop the confidence, skills, and fitness necessary to lead active and healthy lives, both now and in the future.
Through our PE curriculum, we promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our students, encouraging them to be resilient, independent, and respectful individuals. We believe that physical education plays a vital role in building character and embedding values such as fairness, teamwork, and perseverance.
We ensure that all children, regardless of ability, experience positive and inclusive physical activity, with opportunities to participate in competitive sport, collaborative team games, and individual challenges. As they progress, students will develop their physical competence, understanding of health and fitness, and ability to stay active for sustained periods of time. Our curriculum is designed to nurture future aspirations, inspiring children to discover new passions and talents within the world of sport.
