About Us

Sports Premium

At Coddington C of E Primary School we believe PE and Sport plays an important role in making our vision statement a reality for every pupil, with the potential to change young people’s lives for the better.

Through PE and Sport our children learn to develop the important qualities of discipline, resilience, communication, team work, ambition, leading to improved concentration, attitude and academic achievement.

The school receives additional funding to enhance our PE and Sport offering. Below is a report on the 2023-2024 spending and impact to ensure sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport offered.

School Sports context

The school is larger than the average primary school.  There are 390 on role of which 209 are boys and 181 are girls.  There is a two class entry per year group.  Most pupils are from white British backgrounds and speak English as their first language.  The proportion of disabled pupils and those with special educational needs is below average.  The proportion of pupils eligible for the pupil premium (additional funding from the government) is below average.

The school has good outdoor facilities with a playground with markings, climbing equipment, MUGA, gym area, a quiet garden and a playing field.
