PSHE

Our intention is to provide a progressive and inclusive, sequential knowledge-rich curriculum that empowers children to grow in independence, resilience, and confidence.  

Our Jigsaw scheme provides a structured, sequential programme of personal development to nurture the ‘whole child’ and increase learning capacity, underpinned by mindfulness philosophy and practice. Lessons incorporate a mixture of: Personal, Social, Health Education, emotional literacy, social skills, and spiritual development (in an age-appropriate manner) to empower a child to ask questions about the world in which they live. Children are encouraged to explore their own values and ideas within a safe space to develop confidence, raise personal aspirations and celebrate who they within a diverse community. Children will tackle challenging issues to equip them with the necessary skills and attitudes to deal positively with growing up in an ever-changing world.  

Our values of Care, Community and Courage complement our Jigsaw curriculum and will underpin all that we do.
