This week was the last for the junior park run challenge and the Coddington runners once again rose to the occasion. We turned out in force to support our school and had lots of fun staying active!
An astounding 344 children participated in the junior park run this week. Which topped the UK weekly charts and was second place in the all-time junior parkrun attendance record leader board! Out of this 344, a whopping 88 runners (by my count) were from Coddington Primary School. This is an amazing achievement, which nearly doubles our previous record of 48 runners!
I would like to say a big well done to our 23 first timers, who included:

Additionally, well done to Charlie Ashley who was our best placed boy this week (5th – 8mins 39 secs), and well done to Grace Gregory, who was our best placed girl (41st – 10 mins 37 secs).
Finally, special mentions this week go to our runners who have attended all 5 junior park run challenge races. These include: Tyas McLuckie, Sam Bourne, Charlie Ashley, Grace Gregory, Ava Gregory, Luke Clifford and Oliver McGrory.
Unfortunately, I do not know the final Park Run challenge results. The organisers have decided to keep it secret and hold us in suspense for another week! So it looks like you will just have to turn up next week to see if Coddington Primary School can be crowned the park run challenge winners for 2019!
